What's new in Netbookings — January 2026
Happy New Year! We've kicked off 2026 with a solid release covering gift voucher improvements, accommodation dynamic pricing updates, tighter security, and a range of fixes. Here's what's new.
Gift voucher improvements
Two updates for gift vouchers this month. A second expiry reminder can now be configured in System > Setup > Settings > Vouchers, giving guests an additional heads-up before their voucher expires. We've also made the checkout experience clearer — guests redeeming a gift voucher online will now see the remaining voucher balance displayed at checkout, so there are no surprises.
Accommodation Dynamic Pricing — more flexibility
Dynamic Splits can now be individualised to different Tariffs in System > Setup > Pricing Setup, giving accommodation operators much finer control over how dynamic pricing applies across different room types and rate plans. We've also ensured that room transfers retain any price overrides where the Pricing group hasn't changed, and tidied up the Tariffs Setup screen by removing the Dynamic Splits selection that previously lived there.
Restricted payment types by Role
If you have 'Restricted Payments' enabled for a Role in System > Staff and Agents > Roles Setup, you can now select exactly which payment types are available to staff in that role. This gives operators greater control over how payments are processed by different team members.
Security improvement
We've increased security to prevent a logged-in guest from sharing a Netbookings page link with someone else and having that person bypass the login requirement. A small but important change for protecting guest data.
Fixes
- Bathing > Calendar not highlighting correct current time based on local time zone — fixed
- Channel management — cancellation of a booking not removing dynamic price — fixed
- Staff Setup — details missing when logged in using 2FA — fixed
- Waiver file upload — fixed
- Web site passkey login — fixed
