What's new in Netbookings — March 2026
Another fortnight, another round of improvements. Our March releases have been focused on giving operators more flexibility with membership payment plans, smarter discount controls, and a handful of fixes that our clients will be glad to see sorted. Here's what's new.
Memberships just got a lot more flexible
This is the big one for March. We've completely overhauled how membership payment plans work, giving you much greater control over how guests pay for their memberships.
You can now set up a payment plan for any membership in System > Setup > Membership Setup, with full control over:
- The number of payments
- The payment cycle — weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or quarterly
- The payment amount for each instalment
Need to add a payment plan to a membership that's already been created? No problem — you can do that too. The membership will activate immediately on the initial payment, and subsequent payments will follow the plan you've set.
We've also made sure failed payments are handled cleanly. If a payment doesn't go through, the guest and your business email will both receive a notification, the membership will be flagged as inactive, and your staff will be able to step in and resolve it from there.
Smarter discount controls
Discounts can now be restricted to specific Display Categories, both for bookings and for your online retail shop. This means you have much finer control over which discounts apply where — no more worrying about a discount being used somewhere it wasn't intended.
We've also added an Exclude Zero switch to the Financial > Discount Usage report, making it easier to cut through the noise and focus on discounts that have actually been used.
Dynamic Pricing update
Pricing setup now requires that selected Dynamic Pricing options cover continuous dates with no gaps. This prevents pricing conflicts that could cause unexpected results for guests booking online.
Fixes
This release also includes a number of fixes our team have been working through:
- Copying a Role not supporting business swap — fixed
- Guest Contact error when sending email with BCC — fixed
- SMS payment link for private Dining not working — fixed
- Web site guest login screen bypassing questions — fixed
- Booking screen not allowing changes with long notes — fixed
- Discount not applying when creating a Dining booking on POS — fixed
- Bathing calendar not hiding cancelled booking lines — fixed
- Editor inserting unwanted line breaks in various screens — fixed
- Guest Contact sending BCC emails to the business email address — fixed
