June 2026 Updates
Jul 7, 2026
June brings a solid set of updates across Gift Vouchers, Google Tag Manager, Spa, Bathing, Memberships, and POS — plus an improved search experience and a useful new dashboard notification. Here's what landed this month.
Discounts can now auto-apply to Gift Certificates
Running a sale? You can now have discounts apply automatically to Gift Certificate purchases without guests needing to enter a code. Enable Auto apply on any discount in System > Setup > Discounts Setup, and eligible Gift Certificate purchases during the sale period will have the discount applied at checkout — no friction, no forgotten codes.
This is particularly useful for promotional periods like holiday sales or flash offers, where you want the discount to just work for every qualifying purchase.
Google Tag Manager (GTM) overhaul
The tracking integration has been significantly upgraded this month. GTM now takes priority — if a GTM container ID is present in System > Setup > Settings > Integrations, the GA4 field is ignored in favour of GTM. This is the correct approach for most setups where GA4 is already configured as a tag inside GTM.
GTM events are now passed via datalayer.push, with full support for the following standard e-commerce events:
- view_item_list — when a guest browses a list of products or experiences
- view_item — when a guest views a specific item
- add_to_cart — when an item is added to the cart
- remove_from_cart — when an item is removed
- begin_checkout — when a guest starts the checkout process
- purchase — when a booking or purchase is completed
To make setup as easy as possible, we have a GTM import file that pre-builds all the required tags, triggers, and variables in your GTM container. Contact us to get the import file.
Real-time search and standardised results
Search across the platform has been updated to return results in real-time as you type, rather than waiting for a form submit. This makes finding bookings, guests, and records noticeably faster. Search results have also been standardised across the system for a more consistent experience wherever you search.
Spa follow-on treatments now stay in the same room
When booking follow-on Spa treatments — for example, a massage followed by a facial — both treatments will now be restricted to the same room. This prevents scenarios where a guest is inadvertently scheduled across two different treatment rooms for a back-to-back booking, which is rarely practical and can cause scheduling headaches.
Bathing Calendar search
The Bathing Calendar and Bathing Booking screen now include a search function. The search returns bookings for today, giving your team a quick way to locate a specific guest or booking without scrolling through the full calendar view.
Online Shop discount restrictions by Display Category
The Online Shop checkout now respects Display Category restrictions on discounts. This means you can configure a discount to be unavailable for specific categories — for instance, preventing a discount code from applying to Membership purchases at checkout. Set this up in your Discounts Setup alongside your existing display category configuration.
Cancel a Membership pause
Members who have had their membership paused can now have that pause cancelled — returning the membership to its active state without waiting for the pause period to expire. This gives your team more flexibility to handle member requests without workarounds.
POS Activity improvements
Several useful refinements to the POS Activity screen this month. Group selection now stays active until you deliberately de-select it, so you're no longer losing your group context between actions. The Activity Search is now scoped to the active group when one is selected, keeping results focused. A new Table column has been added to Activity Search, and you can long-hold a result to assign a table to that booking directly from the search screen.
Dashboard update notifications
A new pop-up on the Dashboard will notify you when there's a new Netbookings update available — so you can stay across what's changed without having to check the release notes manually.
Automated reports support more parameters
Automated reports have been expanded to support a broader range of parameters, giving you more control over exactly what data is included when reports are sent automatically. If you use automated reporting, it's worth revisiting your existing report setups to take advantage of the new options.
