August 2026 Updates

Aug 28, 2026

The headline addition is a new way to sell through agents, using monetary Vouchers that are restricted to a single booking type. There's also full control over how your booking types report into Google Analytics, modernised Stay, Spa and Therapist calendars, and a good round of fixes. Here's everything that landed.

Allocate Vouchers to your Agents

Voucher > Allocate Vouchers can now generate a batch of monetary Vouchers for an Agent, restricted by the parameters of a discount you set up. The value sits on the Voucher, but it can only be spent on the part of your business you nominate: Adult Bathing, for example.

How it works, start to finish:

  1. Set up a discount covering what the Agent may sell or offer their clients, such as Adult Bathing
  2. In Voucher > Allocate Vouchers, select the Agent, the duration or expiry, the Service or Package, and the applicable discount
  3. Netbookings generates a spreadsheet of Vouchers. Send it to your Agent
  4. The Agent activates each Voucher online prior to sending it, then passes the gift number and validation code to their guest
  5. The guest books online and redeems at the checkout, exactly as they would with any other Voucher

There is one difference from a standard Voucher: it is redeemable against one booking type only. A batch generated against an Adult Bathing discount will not quietly turn into a spa treatment or a night's accommodation at the checkout.

That restriction is the point of the feature. It gives you a controlled way to put inventory in an agent's hands without publishing your rate card or reconciling redemptions by hand afterwards. Activation happens at the Agent's end, one Voucher at a time, so your team isn't fielding calls to issue them.

GA4 and Tag Manager: item categories you control

Everything you sell now reports an item_category to Google Analytics, so your GA4 reporting can be broken down by the parts of your business rather than by one undifferentiated list of products.

Out of the box, the category follows your Netbookings booking types: Stay, Camping, Bathing, SDC, Dining, Spa, Order and Private Bathing. Nothing to set up, it simply starts reporting. SDC there is bathing type 2: the exclusive bathing experience, usually adults only and at a premium price, which operators who run one know by a name of their own.

Where the defaults don't match how you talk about your business, you can override them. A new GA4 Item Category list has been added to System > Setup > Lists, and the field is now available on Pricing Groups, Services, Packages, Retail Products, Memberships and Tickets. Set a value there and it replaces the default, so the second bathing type reports under the name your guests actually use rather than as SDC. Instead of Camping, Bathing and Spa across the board, your reporting can read Campgrounds, Bathhouse Bathing, Sanctuary, Wellness, Activities, Retail and Special Offer: your language rather than ours.

This sits on top of the GA4 events and the Tag Manager datalayer.push support added earlier in the year, so the full journey from browse to purchase is now categorised. We have a GA4 Exploration built to report on these categories and we're happy to share it: get in touch and we'll send it through.

Stay, Spa and Therapist Calendars modernised

The Stay, Spa and Therapist Calendars have been rebuilt with a modernised interface. These are the screens your team lives in all day, so the work has gone into clarity and speed rather than adding anything new to learn. Everything is where you expect it, it just reads better and moves faster.

Guest trend in Guest Bookings

Guest Bookings now carries a summary panel showing that guest's trend over time. At a glance you can see whether someone is a first-timer, a regular whose visits are picking up, or a past regular you haven't seen for a while. It's the sort of context that's useful the moment a guest is on the phone or standing at the desk, without anyone needing to run a report first.

Search by number always finds the record

Enter a number into search and Netbookings will now return the matching record whatever its status. Bookings, Certificates and Memberships all behave the same way: if you have the number, you get the record, including cancelled and expired ones.

This closes off the small daily frustration of searching a number, getting nothing back, and having to work out whether the record was cancelled or you simply mistyped it.

POS updates

Two new switches in System > POS > POS Station Options, so a station can be set up to suit the counter it's sitting on:

  • Book Now No Guest: take a booking at the station without assigning a guest first, for the walk-up sale where nobody needs a profile
  • Remove Quick Cash button: hide Quick Cash on stations where it's a mis-tender waiting to happen

A Dining booking can also now be added to an existing Stay without assigning a table. Reception can lock in the sitting while the guest is in front of them, and the table can be assigned later by whoever is running the floor.

Find Your Experience switches

The Show 'from' and Hide duration options for the website's Find Your Experience page are now switches in System > Setup > Settings > General. Show an indicative 'from' price so guests can see your range before they click through, and hide session length where duration isn't part of how you sell.

Reports

A new POS > Order Details report has been added, giving you the line-level detail behind orders alongside the existing Order Delivery report.

Fixes

  • Assigning a guest not saving the Referrer: fixed
  • Cancelling a Spa booking not releasing the therapist: fixed
  • Images not uploading correctly: fixed
  • Images not saving in System > Setup > Settings: fixed
  • Packages with no price set for a tariff could still be booked on that tariff: fixed
